Consignment
Do you have a horse that you are struggling to sell on your own?
Do you not have time to show the horse to people or your schedule limits your availability?
Are you struggling to find the right audience for you horse or pony?
Does the horse need additional training or problem solving before it's really ready for a new home?
This is where we step in!
Instead of the traditional consignment set ups, what we do is we cover all board and training included in consignment
Horses must be evaluated before being consigned.
Evaluation is completed prior to the horse being listed for sale.
If horse needs additional training this will be completed before horse is listed.
General guidelines are horses for sale under $3,000 are considered projects to some level,
$3,000-$5,000 horses should be able to do at least basic arena maneuvers w/t/c, stop and back up, as well as basic body control.
Horses priced over $5,000 are specialty horses with either specialty bloodlines or training that will lend them to more upper level work.
The owner and Rowley Ranch split the agreed upon sale price of the horse 50/50
Any owner leaving any horse for consignment must disclose any bad habits or vices of said horse.
Any horse that may fit the description of a “problem horse” must receive training prior to being sold.
This would be an absolute minimum of 30 days before even being considered for consignment.
For registered horses, all transfers and paperwork must be ready to go for the new owner.
Originals or copies must be provided.
Owner understands that there is no guaranteed period of time in which the horse will be sold.
Rowley Ranch will provide horse with training, boarding, feed, farrier trims, vaccinations, coggins, health certificate (if requested by purchaser), and deworming.
Owner will provide additional veterinary care (ex; floating, sheath cleaning, and emergencies), and specialty items like shoes.
Horse is to remain at Rowley Ranch until sold.
If owner would like to remove horse from consignment at any time they will be charged our training rate of $500/mn for the time horse was in consignment
